Points Based System [PBS] launched today
29th February 2008
The new Points Based System [PBS] is taking effect from today; Tier 1 for Highly Skilled Migrants is the first of five separate Tiers, providing a robust and measured means of ensuring that only the best can work in Britain. Other changes include the introduction of new licences for employers that wish to employ migrant workers, which will be a mandatory requirement for Tier 2 Work Permit applications, which are due to take effect in Autumn 2008, together with on-the-spot fines being issued to those employers that do not confirm to the rules and anyone found hiring illegal workers in the UK.

Work Permits for Employers

SOLUTIONS THAT DELIVER LIFE CHANGES Fill out our online assessment forms. Work permits and the issues that surround them are often complex. However, most problems can be avoided if professional advice is sought at an early stage. Often in large companies, important questions can go unanswered simply because the HR department does not know who to ask. PERMITS2WORK manages applications on behalf of some of the top 500 UK employers and works on a no-win, no-fee basis. We specialise in UK immigration law and provide free assessments for each case. We provide professional services across a wide spectrum of industries. However we have significant experience in securing work permits for the Construction industry, Hotels and Catering, IT companies and consultants, Engineers, Healthcare; from large multi-national groups to small and medium sized enterprises. The number of skills shortages experienced in many areas of industry, often means that UK employers struggle to recruit successfully within the resident workforce for senior or specialist posts. The cost of getting it wrong can mean a refused application, jeopardising the individual’s current immigration status and can also raise credibility issues with the Home Office. The rules at times can be hard to understand and interpret (even for a company's experienced Human Resources team). Using a specialist immigration and work permit company will avoid delays and will give you a better chance of success. We can ensure that you secure that key position successfully and safeguard your interests as an employer, advising you on the most appropriate solution to meet your needs. We have a team of professional advisers qualified to the highest level (OISC Level 3) who can provide you with the right solution. As 80% of new business is referred to us from clients satisfied with our high level of service, you can rely on the fact that PERMITS2WORK are the market leads in their field. |
