Sponsorship Licence - Points Based System

Overview If you wish to sponsor any overseas migrants under the Points Based System, you must have a sponsorship licence. The consequences of not being awarded a sponsorship licence will mean that the organisation is unable to apply to extend existing work permit holders and/or make an application for a new employee. Application Process There are different types of licences which may be applied for, depending on your needs as an organisation. You need to make sure that you understand which licence/s applies to you. You may have to apply for several different types of licence at the same time in certain circumstances. Documentation You will be expected to provide original documentation [or certified copies] of specified documents which are relevant to your organisation and establish that you are based in the UK. Audit & Compliance As part of the sponsorship licence application the UK Border Agency will conduct an audit of the business premises, to ascertain whether the organisation is capable to fulfil its duties and obligations under the points based system. This visit may be pre-arranged as part of your sponsorship licence application or it may be unannounced. The UK Border Agency will decide whether to award the organisation an 'A' or 'B' rating. In certain cases, the organisation will not be deemed eligible to qualify for sponsorship if they cannot satisfy the deciding criteria. We can advise you on all of the key issues that surround this application, how it affects you, what you can do to ensure that you are fully prepared and that your application goes through smoothly. PERMITS2WORK LTD is registered with the OISC [Office of the Immigration Services] to the highest level. |
