The Points Based System [PBS] was introduced by the UK Border Agency to assess whether a person can qualify to come to the United Kingdom for the purposes of work or study.

PBS is split into five separate tiers. Each tier has a separate set of criteria and conditions attached to it.

Each tier (except Tier 1) requires the applicant to have a sponsor before an application can be made. The sponsor must be a business or college in the UK and hold a valid sponsorship licence.

The applicant and sponsor (if appropriate) will be required to demonstrate that the person has sufficient points to qualify under the relevant tier.

If you would like us to manage a points based system application on your behalf, you should seek professional advice at an early stage, to ensure that the application is fully prepared and any relevant timing or immigration issues addressed.

If you have previously made an application which has been refused, we may still be able to help represent you. This may involve taking on an appeal to the Tribunal. In some cases it may be possible to make a fresh application.
