Tier 1 visa extensions
The qualifying criteria are different for those who are already in the UK on Tier 1. However, there are transitional arrangements in place for those were granted leave under a previous scheme.
Switching to Tier 1 visa
Certain immigration categories (e.g. visitor) do not allow you to switch into Tier 1. If you cannot switch into Tier 1, you must make your application from outside the UK.
Dependants and family members
You can bring dependents with you to the UK, which would include your spouse, civil partner, unmarried partner, and/or children. You will be expected to show that you have enough funds to support each family member.
