For those who have secured financial backing and have made business arrangements to set up or take over one or more businesses in the UK. Applicants will need to demonstrate that they also meet the English language and maintenance requirements.

It is possible to come to the UK as a Prospective Entrepreneur if the applicant is based overseas and needs to visit the UK to secure financial backing and make business arrangements to qualify for the Entrepreneur visa. This is granted for six months and cannot be extended. However, applicants can switch into Tier 1 Entrepreneur without leaving the UK.
Business partners can also access this route without the need for increased level of funding if both persons have the same access to the specified funds.
