For international graduates who are looking to work in the UK following completion of their studies. This has replaced the International Graduate Scheme [IGS], Science and Engineering Graduate Scheme [SEGS], Fresh Talent Working in Scotland Scheme [FT:WISS]
The Tier 1 PSW scheme will be suspended in April 2012. At present an application can be made within the UK or from overseas if this is within12 months of the date of award.
The qualification must be obtained from a recognised UK institution. Applicants need to demonstrate that they meet the English language and maintenance requirements.
Initial applications are granted for two years (unless previously granted IGS). This cannot be extended beyond the two year period; an application will need to be made to switch into another immigration category.
