Tier 2 Intra Company Transfer

For those skilled overseas employees required to transfer to the UK based branch of the organisation. This includes established staff, graduate trainees (as part of a structure training programme), and short term skills transfers.

The UK Border Agency will only consider applications where the post is recognised as graduate-level or equivalent. The applicant does not need to hold a degree qualification.

Applicants need to demonstrate that they meet the maintenance requirements. Dependents can accompany the applicant to the UK (spouse, civil partner, unmarried partner, and/or children) if enough funds are available to support each family member. It is possible for A-rated sponsors to certify the maintenance requirement.

There are four sub-categories of Tier 2 Intra Company Transfer:

Short term
To transfer established staff to work in the UK for up to 12 months.
Long term
To transfer established staff to work in the UK for up to five years.
Graduate trainee
To transfer recent graduate recruits to the UK branch for training purposes.
Skills transfer
To transfer recent or experienced staff to train the UK workforce
