All EEA and Swiss nationals can enter and live in the UK without needing to ask permission (known as a right of residence). However, not all EEA nationals have the automatic right to work in the United Kingdom.
If you are an EEA national and want to live in the UK beyond three months, you should be a ‘qualified person’. This could be on the basis of employment (including jobseekers), studies or if you are economically self sufficient.
