Visitor Visa

You will be expected to show that you:

•      want to visit the UK for no more than six months;
•      intend to leave the UK at the end of your visit;
•      have enough funds to support yourself for the duration of your stay
•      do not intend to take any employment (paid or unpaid)

What documents do I need to provide?

The purpose, frequency and length of visits will establish what additional evidence is required to support your visitor visa. Previous immigration history to the UK will also be considered. You should supply as much information as possible. Poorly supported applications are usually refused and most visitor visas do not have a full right of appeal.

What if I need to come to the UK on a frequent basis?

It may be possible to apply for a long term visitor visa (e.g 1, 2, 5 or 10 years). However, you will still be limited to staying for up to six months at any one time.

I have been refused a visitor visa. Can I appeal?

If you have been refused a visitor visa you may have the right to appeal against the decision. However, this will depend on the facts of the case.
